First Visit

First Visit

Welcome to our practice! We are glad you have chosen us for your oral health needs and hope that every encounter with our office and staff exceeds your expectations.

If you are scheduled for a routine visit, your initial appointment will consist of a comprehensive oral exam, including an oral cancer screening, cleaning, and all necessary radiographs. However, if you are scheduled for a problem-focused visit, your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. In some cases, treatment may be performed on the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.

Please assist us by completing your New Patient Forms prior to your reservation with us.

IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 during the first visit.

Radiographs

Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining your dental health. A dental radiograph is the primary tool used to detect cavities, gum disease, and infections.  A complete series of dental radiographs will be taken for new patients. This series will be repeated every 3 to 5 years. For most patients, bitewing radiographs will be taken every 12 months. Insurance eligibility is not a determining factor in our decision. Our standard of care guides our providers in diagnosing radiographs for our patients.
